I know we have a wide range of topics, but I want to get an idea of what KIND of shows you like the best. Is it the how-tos? Interviews? "Man on the street?" What would you like to see more of?
I've enjoyed all the videos so far, especially got 'wound up' over the Yo-Yo show, and was 'electrified' with that first car piece, so I guess I'd like to see more shows like those. The interview and 'how-to' ones.
Maybe try a 'day in the life' type thing. What's a day in the life of a video producer/host like?
Waking up with a concept, then fast-forward (the video frames) getting to the location on the muni (or is it a scooter…limo?)
Then - doing the shoot, editing and finally posting the vid on the web.
See if you can squeeze all that into a 5 minute video podcast.
It would be cool to "meet" some of the people behind Mahalo Daily - sounds like another episode right there!
Mahalo!
Not the NFL Footy one. Extremly lame I am affraid! Didn't even really explain anything. Thought the same about the creative commons episode. I knew about creative commons before but if I didn't I would probably think it was about mixing music or something.
But don't want to be completely negitive, all the others have been good especially the pilot, the turkey (no I don't mean Jason) and the first episode on the Electric car.
Can I also suggest for your January 26 (or January 25 as it will be the 26th here in Australia) that you do a show on something Australian as the 26th is Australia day!
Just a thought. Keep up the good work.
Molly
PS. Jason get off your ass and live up to your deal on the last 18 odd episodes of the Calacanis Cast you own us!
I think my favorites are the how-tos, and the more diverse the subjects, the better. It's fun to unexpectedly learn about something I never would have researched on my own. Also, the Flock one got me started with that browser and I absolutely love it.
I like the mix from Mahalo Daily. I'm a techie so I like seeing the tech topics but I also like the fun goofy stuff as well. For the tech episodes, there is no need to get 'too deep' into the how it works. I use MD as a kind of early warning radar screen to alert me to new interesting stuff. If it whets my appetite I'll dig deeper on my own. The fun goofy stuff works well as I imagine Veronica is a fun goofy person. Either that or a boring staid person who is the greatest actor since prehistoric times.
Hmm... at times when you do interviews they seem forced, and can often get boring; not on your part on the person you are speaking with.
I think your how-to's are always helpful for the average person who needs help so I think you should go with something that you've wanted to do but has yet to be done. "Man on the street" is my favorite though.
You're quite talented and your friendly demeanor makes your interviewing skills quite relaxing for whomever you're speaking with... I'll think of something.
On-site tech related. Going into a tech related business and interviewing the company.I like how you keep the shows short. I have found with my own site, people get bored with anything over 5 min.
